Welcome to Iceland! Upon arrival at Keflavik Airport, you will be met by your professional local guide at the arrivals hall. Shortly afterwards, depart from  the airport and travel to Viking World Café. Enjoy the exhibition followed by breakfast .  Afterwards, begin your tour with city sightseeing from the northernmost capital in the world, Reykjavík, where more than a third of the Iceland's population lives. During this tour, you will see the old town centre,  the Parliament, the Cathedral, the harbour, the Pearl, the National Museum  and Höfði house, the summit site of 1986. Drive past the city's salmon river,  an indication for Reykjavík´s low - pollution levels, and the Árbæjarsafn outdoor folk museum, which offers an interesting contrast to the modern buildings of the most recent part of Reykjavík. Continue past Reykjavik's largest outdoor swimming  pool in Laugardalur which is heated with water from natural hot springs under  the city, the Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture museum and Hallgrímskirkja Church (whose steeple is a Reykjavík landmark). The tour ends at the hotel, check-in and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Tonight, enjoy dinner at Hofnin Restaurant (drinks not included). After breakfast, depart from the hotel for the Golden Circle tour, probably the most popular day tour out of Reykjavik. This full day tour of the south-west of Iceland includes three of the best known attractions Iceland has to offer: Gullfoss, also known as The Golden Waterfall, is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Europe, with thousands of tons of icy water thundering majestically into a deep canyon. Then, onto the Geysir Area, with numerous hot springs, fumeroles and geysers, including the 30 meter spouting world known as Strokkur. Afterwards, proceed to Þingvellir, a remarkable geological site and a historic site as well. Þingvellir is the site of the world’s oldest democratic parliament founded in 930 and the beautiful canyon running through the park is actually the dividing fault  line between two of the earth’s tectonic plates.  Afterwards,  visit to the family  run Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre, where you will learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of the geothermal heat that Iceland has in abundance. An unbelievable fact that few people know is that Iceland is the only country in the world where tomatoes are grown the whole year around. On the way, you will have a nice lunch at Efstidalur dairy farm, where guests can watch the cows and the young cattle in their daily environment as well as the making of milk products such as ice-cream, skyr and feta cheese. Later, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, depart from y our hotel for a non-guided transfer to The Blue Lagoon. The Lagoon is a unique wonder of nature; a lagoon with pleasantly warm mineral-rich geothermal water in a middle of a black lava field. The high natural levels of silica and minerals give the Lagoon its rich blue colour. The facilities include modern changing rooms and showers, an indoor geothermal pool, a winter garden, restaurants and other services. A visit for approximately three to four hours to the Blue Lagoon is both invigorating and exiting whether one bathes there surrounded by snow in the middle of the winter or in the long summer daylight. After your visit, transfer back to your hotel, where you spend the rest of your day at leisure. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Sunday,  02 September 2018

They bay is full of surprises and the most commonly sighted whales include white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, minke and humpback whales. Get ready with your camera as you pass several islands inhabited by colonies of puffins! Rest of your day is at leisure. Overnight in Reykjavik.
