In December of 2022, I took a luxury tour from Helsinki, Finland to Lapland in the Arctic Circle.

From start to finish it was a wonderful experience with everything taken care of!

In Helsinki I visited the Christmas market, had a lovely city tour and some wonderful meals.

After a few days, we fly up to Rovaniemi for a couple night at the Arctic Tree House Hotel. This hotel was picture perfect, with my bed facing a window wall overlooking the forest. We went on a Northern lights safari, which was great fun, although the Northern lights are not guaranteed it was enjoyed.

The following day we went on a Coast Guard Ice breaker ship, which included a float in the Arctic water. Amazing experience!

One morning we visited the secret antler workshop, what a unique experience with making a local craft, shopping local antler horn gifts along with coffee and cookies in an authentic finish home. Out the windows we saw the reindeer.

Later we went to Santa Village, the real home of Santa Claus, this was the crossing into the Arctic Circle and highly recommended for young families.

We then drove about 2 hours North to the Levi area. We had fun dog sledding, reindeer sledding, snowmobiling, ice shoeing. We stayed in glass luxury igloos.

This part of Finland looked magical with snow packed trees. This was our last night in Lapland. Right before going to bed we were fortunate and SO lucky to see the wonder of the Northern lights.

Looking back, I typically don't enjoy being cold, but I would go back in a heartbeat! A beautiful part of our wonderful world!
